DWT Simulation Education Program at Toyota of Huntington
The statistics are grim and staggering. Distracted Driving continues to be a major cause of motor vehicle collisions, especially amongst young people. As our teens and young adults begin to drive, it is important that they realize the importance of safe driving behaviors. This award-winning simulation technology allows participants to experience the risks of Distracted Driving first hand – while in a Virtual Reality (VR) environment. The PEERS Foundation is proud to have partnered with Toyota Motors, State Farm Insurance and AT&T to bring this eye opening and lifesaving intervention to hundreds of thousands of young people throughout the United States.
For over a decade, Toyota has been committed to helping teens stay safe behind the wheel with their Teen Drive 365 program. Now, Toyota of Huntington is bringing this program home to Huntington, New York. This program is open to all teen drivers as well as their parents. There is no cost for this program and refreshments will be served.
WHERE: The program will take place at the all new Toyota of Huntington Service Center, located at 370 Oakwood Road, Huntington Station, NY.
WHEN: Saturday, March 18, 2017 from 11 am to 5 pm
The first half of the day will include Driving Simulation and the second portion of the day will be Break Out Sessions with Hands-On experiences for your teen drivers. We will also have great information for parents on how to make sure their teens stay safe behind the wheel when they are out on the road by themselves or with friends. Watch this video to see more about the program that takes kids through the virtual reality of distracted driving and the extreme risks involved.
Please join Toyota of Huntington for this very important and potentially lifesaving program.
